Oakglen road resurfacing on track

The City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas, together with local ward councillor, Annelize Van Zyl, inspected a number of Oakglen roads that are currently undergoing routine maintenance. The roadworks are set to continue until Thursday, 22 May 2025, and take place between 07:30 and 17:30, Monday to Friday, weather permitting and provided there are no unforeseen delays.
‘Thank you to all residents, road users and businesses in the Oakglen area for their patience as we work towards the timeous completion of roadworks along Fir Road, De Hoop Avenue, Redwood Street, La Cotte Street, Bourgogne Street, Spolander Street, Feldhausen Avenue, Redwood Street, Libertas Close, Poplar Street, Chestnut Street, Silvertree Street, Cherry Street, Blackwood Street and Walnut Street. All of this to ensure that we keep Cape Town moving on quality roads,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
The scope of this routine road maintenance project entails:
‘All the night work has been completed for this specific project and the outstanding work is being done during daytime working hours,’ said Councillor Quintas.
Upon completion, all road markings will be reinstated with new retro-reflective road marking paint.
